Extracurricular Spotlight: Magical Bridge Foundation Volunteering

“Magical Bridge Foundation creates innovative award-winning playgrounds, parks and programs for more inclusive communities. Our multigenerational spaces are thoughtfully designed to ensure guests of all ages and all abilities experience the magic of play, community connections and belonging.

Through advocacy and programs both on and off the playground, Magical Bridge promotes kindness and ignites vital intergenerational connections that build more inclusive communities. Magical Bridge Foundation is currently working on playgrounds, parks, schools, and museum projects throughout the Bay Area and worldwide.” 

The Magical Bridge Foundations offers events and volunteer opportunities, also known as “Kindness Ambassadors.” 

“The Kindness Ambassador Program for Mitchell Park invites adults and middle school and high school teens, regardless of ability or disability, to promote kindness and inclusion both on and off the playground. Kindness Ambassadors with varying abilities can be partnered with a more seasoned Ambassador to help enrich their experience in the program.” 

Duties Include:

• Facilitate events, crafts, and activities for all ages and abilities 

• Create social media video and photo content

• Meet new friends and promote kindness everywhere

• Add meaningful experience to college/work applications

• Make Magical Bridge Playgrounds a welcoming place for all

• Work with us to create Magical programs

• Showcase your artistic and performance skills!
